Non-school coaches common in northwestern Minnesota

Many schools are turning to other cities to find prep coaches

Pressure and dwindling budgets are a few reasons, area athletic directors and coaches say is the reason why Minnesota has non-school employees as head coaches.

Of the 25 Minnesota schools in The Forum’s readership base, Ada-Borup is the only school that has its entire coaching staff working in the district. That list doesn’t include schools that are in a co-op agreement.
