Benilde-St. Margaret’s, Lakeville South, Rosemount and Prior Lake advance to girls’ semifinals

Benilde-St. Margaret’s junior Tilly Wolfe shouldered the offensive load with seven goals in the Red Knights’ 13-10 victory against Eden Prairie on Wednesday in the girls’ lacrosse state tournament quarterfinals.

Led by Wolfe, the No. 4 seed Red Knights (14-3) dominated the program’s first 10 minutes of state tournament action on Wednesday at Stillwater High School. They raced to a 6-0 lead with Wolfe scoring three times.

Prior Lake 17, Andover 7
Defending state champion Prior Lake removed any chance for intrigue, blitzing tournament newcomer Andover for 11 goals in a row at the start.

Eight players scored for the top-seed Lakers (16-1) during the opening salvo, led by a Mackenzie Salentre’s hat trick and Payton Bloedow’s two goals.

Claire Nelson and Mallory Eldien scored late in the first half for Andover (14-3). The Huskies rallied to score five goals in the second half.

Bloedow, a coaches association all-state first team midfielder, finished with five goals and an assist.

Prior Lake beat previously undefeated Edina in the Section 6 final.
